Good Wash Day towels are made from ultra-smooth organic jersey cotton, chosen to be gentler on wet hair when it’s most vulnerable. Unlike traditional terry towels and some microfibre, their smoother construction helps reduce friction and absorb excess surface water without over-drying, supporting healthier, more manageable hair.

Yes. Good Wash Day towels are designed for straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, and are gentle enough for adults, children and babies.

The smooth jersey cotton helps minimise friction when hair is wet, making the towels a good option for fragile hair, sensitive scalps, hair loss and regrowth.

Most customers will be best suited to the regular towel.

The XL towel is designed for very long hair — from bra-strap length and beyond. Choosing a size is about length, not volume. If your hair is shorter but thick or curly, the regular towel will usually be the better fit.

There’s no right or wrong way. Good Wash Day towels can be worn in a traditional wrap style or used for plopping, depending on your hair type and routine.

Yes. Some customers also use their towel as a lightweight option for the body, or take it with them for travel, the gym, swimming, yoga, the beach or the pool.

A few have even found them useful for drying dogs who aren’t fans of traditional towels — the softer fabric can feel less overwhelming.

All Good Wash Day orders are carefully packaged to arrive beautifully, without unnecessary excess.

Your item will arrive wrapped in branded tissue paper, with a Good Wash Day postcard including care and usage information. Packaging materials are chosen to balance presentation with our environmental values.

UK orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked48, which means delivery typically takes 2–4 working days from dispatch.

Australia & New Zealand
Orders usually arrive within up to 7 working days.

International orders
Royal Mail quotes 5–7 working days in transit, but delivery can take up to 3–4 weeks in total, depending on local customs processing.

Australia & New Zealand orders are fulfilled locally from Australia, helping ensure faster delivery.

Orders are shipped using Royal Mail’s Delivered Duties Paid service. This means all U.S. import duties, tariffs and handling fees are included at checkout, with no additional charges on delivery.

European Union
Due to ongoing issues with unexpected import charges, we currently don’t ship to the EU via this website.

EU customers can still purchase via our Etsy store, where taxes are calculated and paid at checkout.

We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard.

You can also pay using PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, where available.

Available payment options are shown clearly at checkout.

Good Wash Day products are personal care items and, for hygiene reasons, can’t be returned unless faulty on arrival, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Please inspect your order on receipt and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged or incorrect.

To be eligible for a return:

• Items must be unused and in their original condition
  
• Returned in original packaging
  
• Received by us within 30 days of Royal Mail confirming delivery

We recommend using a tracked return service, as we can’t issue refunds for items that don’t arrive back with us.

Once received and approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to five working days for your bank or card provider to process the refund.
